This policy explains how refunds work across mzcorp.com, umerkhokhar.com, and websupporthq.com. All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record — refund requests are ultimately actioned through Paddle, but you can reach out to us directly and we’ll handle it on your behalf.
Software subscriptions (school platform, Outreach OS, and future SaaS products)
- First-time purchase: if you’re not happy with a new subscription, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we’ll issue a full refund, no questions asked.
- Renewals: subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are non-refundable once the billing period has started, except where required by law in your country. If you meant to cancel before a renewal and missed it, contact us — we’ll review it case by case and often can help.
- Cancelling: you can cancel anytime from your account dashboard or by emailing us. Cancelling stops future billing; it doesn’t refund the period you’re currently in unless you’re within the 14-day window above.
- Downgrades: if you move to a lower-priced plan mid-cycle, the change takes effect at your next renewal — we don’t pro-rate the difference for the current period.
Consulting and agency services (umerkhokhar.com, WebSupportHQ care plans)
- Project-based work: for fixed-scope projects, refunds are handled based on work completed at the time of cancellation. If you cancel before we’ve started, you get a full refund. If work is underway, we’ll refund the unearned portion based on hours logged or milestones delivered, whichever was agreed in your quote.
- Retainer/care plans: these work like subscriptions — the current billing period is non-refundable once started, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. Unused hours in a retainer don’t roll over or get refunded unless your specific agreement says otherwise.
- Custom quotes: if your project was quoted with its own specific refund terms in the invoice or contract, that document takes priority over this general policy.
What doesn’t qualify for a refund
- Any period of service already delivered or consumed (e.g. hosting, uptime monitoring, or completed consulting hours)
- Requests made because you didn’t use the product, if the product was accessible and working as described
- Custom development work that was delivered and accepted, unless it doesn’t match the agreed specification
- Digital products or templates delivered in a way that can’t practically be “returned”
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live. For example:
- EU/UK consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital purchases, but this right doesn’t apply once you’ve started using digital content or a service with your explicit agreement and acknowledgment that you’re giving up that right — which is exactly what our 14-day refund window above is designed to honour and go beyond where reasonable.
- If local law entitles you to a refund we haven’t covered here, that law applies, not this policy.
How to request a refund
Email info@mzcorp.com with your account email, the product name, and the reason for your request. We aim to respond within 2 business days and, where a refund is approved, to process it within 5–10 business days, timing depending on your card issuer or payment method.
Chargebacks
If you believe you’ve been charged in error, please contact us first — most issues get resolved faster and without a dispute fee this way. Filing a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first can result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated by Paddle.
